KATHRYN OWENS

 

Kathy Owens of Your HR Solutions CT has over twenty years of leadership experience in service, manufacturing and non-profit environments. She has gained expertise by serving in management positions in Operations, Human Resources and Learning and Development with companies including Cendant Mobility, Pepperidge Farm, Sylvan Learning Centers and Scalzo Group Real Estate Services.

 

Kathy brings a perspective to strategic business planning that draws upon her diverse experience in a global business setting as both a successful operations manager and human resources professional.  She assesses organizational needs and strategizes with business leaders to design customized approaches that support changing corporate objectives.  Kathy is an exceptional resource to small to mid-size companies to create strategic human resource plans based on desired business results.  She has contributed in a consulting role in service and non-profit companies during organizational transition and restructure. 

 

Kathy was an integral member of a team that designed, developed and implemented a performance management system that was recognized with the Connecticut Innovation Award.  She has proven skills and passion for organizational, team and individual development.  Kathy has also provided career guidance to hundreds of professional level employees.  She has developed customized training programs in behavioral and technical areas and has facilitated a broad range of customer service and management skills programs.

Provided organizational, structural and transition-related counsel during major reorganization of this non-profit group.  Partnered with outside consulting firm to customize and implement comprehensive, strategically linked performance evaluation and measurement system.

SYLVAN LEARNING CENTER, Brookfield, CT
District Manager / Center Director                                                                              Provided leadership at this top provider of supplemental education and tutoring services and increased revenue from $750K in FY02 to $1M in FY03, which ranked Brookfield as one of the top 5% of all 1000+ Sylvan Learning Centers nationally.
